The Carpet Center opened January 21, 1980.  Owner Danny Longing and his father J.R. Longing Jr. started as Carpet Remnants Galore but soon changed the name to The Carpet Center.

Melissa Longing joined her husband Danny in 1984.  Now their son Monty Longing owns Carpet Center Cleaning and daughter Allie is majoring in interior design at U.C.A.  Danny’s brother Wayne Longing is the public relations and trouble shooter expert.  Chris Jaquez is day to day operations manager.  Heather Henderson is office manager.  

The Carpet Center is a founding member of the Arkansas Flooring Connection.  This is a buying group that insures we are offered special pricing that we pass on to our customers.

Our goal is to provide a valuable service in the floor covering industry to our customers in a professional manner while offering quality products with tremendous savings. We strive to maintain a positive working environment that reflects honesty, integrity, and fairness when dealing with our employees, our customers, our suppliers, and our competitors.

We actively continue to educate ourselves on current developments within the floor covering industry so we may better serve our customers. We constantly hold ourselves to the ideal of excellence in all that we do and reflect that high standard in all that we encounter.
